Facebook Messenger supports high quality video calling

Facebook Messenger has now been given a makeover with HD video calling and AI (artificial intelligence) backgrounds.

According to GSMArena , Meta has just launched a major update for Facebook Messenger, bringing significant improvements to call quality and user experience.

Improved call quality

Accordingly, the Messenger application with the new update will start supporting HD video calls, bringing sharper and higher quality images to users. This feature will be enabled by default when calling over Wi-Fi and can be manually enabled for calls using mobile data.

Additionally, Messenger has added background noise cancellation and voice isolation features, which help reduce background noise and clarify the caller's voice. Meta says these improvements will make video calls on Messenger more realistic than ever.

Another exciting feature that is coming soon is AI backgrounds for video calls. Users can choose from unique AI-generated backgrounds to liven up their calls. Additionally, Messenger on iOS now integrates with Siri, allowing users to make calls and send messages using voice commands .

With the above notable upgrades, Facebook Messenger is trying to improve user experience and compete with other messaging apps on the market.
